RIVER TOURISM
The Inland Water Transport Department of Assam has taken up the following initiatives to develop river tourism of Assam:
- Beautification of the river bank at Guwahati.
- Introduction of floating restaurant at Guwahati.
- River cruising service locality at Guwahati on the river Brahmaputra, also up to Dibrugarh and other tourist places of Assam by vessel M.V. ( Modern Vessel) Charaidew.
- Presently our departmental vessel Ramp Power Launch (R.P.L) Ushaban & Single Boat (S.B) Boginadi is operating as a cruise vessel within the vicinity of Guwahati
